First-Time Shipper A Basic Guide to Shipping How to fill out the bill of lading Successful deliveries start with accurate shipping documents. The bill of lading is a legal contract between the shipper (you) and the carrier (YRC). The bill of lading states exactly what is being shipped, where it's coming from, and where it's going. You can purchase bills of lading from office supply stores. The YRC bill of lading is available at no charge from your YRC Customer Support Center. Another option is to fill out the YRC bill of lading online and print a copy. Give the completed bill of lading to the YRC driver who picks up your shipment. Bills of lading can also be completed and submitted electronically. If you are interested in this option, see my.yrc.com for details. Review the example of a completed bill of lading for tips on proper preparation. Roll your mouse over any number for more details.
