Expertise and certifications save you time at the border
Today's antiterrorist efforts are transforming cross-border transportation. We work with federal agencies to help develop such programs as C-TPAT, PIP, FAST, ACE and ACI.
YRC Freight is at the forefront of secure shipping
YRC Freight not only keeps up-to-date with requirements, we are in the forefront—helping with their evolution.
Our certifications and compliance with these programs provide our customers faster processing, translating to an average crossing time of three minutes a shipment. 98 percent of our shipments are pre-approved for Customs clearance before arriving at the border.
Because your marketplace changes daily, you need transportation choices and flexibility now more than ever. We are a full-service, one-source transportation provider. YRC Freight provides the service and flexibility you need to get any job done.
Toll-free customer service
With exceptional customer service by telephone or online, importers and exporters enjoy the highest level of service available in the industry.
Certified and compliant
YRC Freight is border-security compliant and certified in the C-TPAT, FAST, CSA and PIP programs. We communicate electronically with U.S. Customs and Border Protection and with the Canada Border Service Agency and are therefore compliant with Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) and Advance Commercial Information (ACI). Our participation in these programs for shipment security means faster border clearance for your shipments, a secure supply chain, dedicated lanes and a strong Customs partnership.
Secure border crossings
YRC Freight is at the forefront of the changes taking place at North America's borders, helping to develop programs that improve supply-chain security while keeping the borders open to legitimate trade.
We worked with federal agencies to help develop the transportation requirements for the U.S. Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) program, the Canada Partners in Protection (PIP) program, and the Free and Secure Trade (FAST) program of the Canadian and U.S. governments.
In return for participating in these initiatives, U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the Canada Border Services Agency promise importers faster processing and fewer inspections. To participate, importers must use transportation providers that are approved for these programs. YRC Freight was one of the first transportation providers authorized to participate in these federally backed programs for protecting the supply chain.
