We worked with federal agencies to help develop the transportation requirements for the U.S. Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) program, the Canada Partners in Protection (PIP) program, and the Free and Secure Trade (FAST) program of the Canadian and U.S. governments. In return for participating in these initiatives, U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the Canada Border Services Agency promise importers faster processing and fewer inspections. To participate, importers must use transportation providers that are approved for these programs. YRC was one of the first transportation providers authorized to participate in these federally backed programs for protecting the supply chain. |
