The Customs Self Assessment (CSA) is part of the Canada Customs Revenue Agency (CCRA) blueprint that Canada Customs introduced to streamline processes for low-risk shipments moving into Canada.
U.S.-originating goods are eligible for the CSA program. A requirement of CSA is that the Canadian importer, the transportation company and the driver must be CSA-certified. YRC Freight and its Canadian subsidiary, YRC Reimer, received approval from CCRA to participate in the CSA initiative in December 2001.
