Minimizing Your Costs and Border Security FAQ

Participating in border security initiatives can minimize the cost of border security for your supply chain.

Customs will give C-TPAT and homeland security participants faster border crossings through dedicated lanes. YRC fulfills the service provider requirements specified in the C-TPAT Supply Chain Security Questionnaire.

We worked with federal agencies to help develop the transportation requirements for the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) program of the U.S. government, the Partners in Protection (PIP) program of the Canadian government, and the Canadian and U.S. government's Free and Secure Trade (FAST) program for highway carriers.

In return for participating in these initiatives, U.S. Customs & Border Protection and the Canada Customs Revenue Agency promise importers faster processing and fewer inspections. To participate, importers must use transportation providers that are approved to participate in these programs.

YRC was one of the first transportation providers authorized to participate in these federally backed programs for protecting the supply chain. Our border management leadership positions our Customer Support Centers to meet your need for fast, reliable and secure cross-border services.

YRC is ISO certified. We connect all of North America with our reliable cross-border service.
