PIP: Partners In Protection
A voluntary initiative, PIP is a joint Canadian government-business partnership to enhance border security, combat organized crime and terrorism, increase awareness of customs-compliance issues, and help detect and prevent contraband smuggling. PIP focuses on developing a more-secure border environment throughout the supply chain through enhanced physical security and thorough production, transportation and import processes. Canada Customs Revenue Agency (CCRA) provides guidance for establishing, improving or amending security procedures along the entire supply chain.
