New Electronic Customs Requirement for Canada, effective 9/30/2008
The shipper, broker or transportation provider must now file Shipper's Export Declarations electronically for export shipments with an individual SCHB/HTS number value of $2,500. Effective Sept. 30, 2008, Customs officials no longer accept hard-copy SEDs. Note the details of this new requirement. Contact your Customs broker with any additional questions.
