Do you have to type in a user ID and password every time you open ExpressWORKS?
For version 5.03 and above, you can bypass the ID and password login by turning the security option off in Tools/Options. Click the 'Disable security option' box. Previous versions do not have this capability.
What is my user name and password to get into ExpressWORKS version 5.03 and up the first time?
The user name and password is master, master. It is not case sensitive.
Can I print multiple copies of bills of lading?
Yes. In version 5.03 and up, you can specify the number of copies on the print screen. Previous versions do not have this capability.
Do I have to register the software if I am using only the Rating module?
No. You have to register only if you use the Bills of Lading module. After 60 days, the Bill of Lading option will be disabled until you register the program.

How do I set the defaults in ExpressWORKS?

  1. Open any screen.
  2. Complete only the information that you want stored.
  3. In the TOOLS menu, click either SYSTEM or USER, then select MEMORIZE DEFAULTS.

Notes:

  • The software can 'memorize' a single field on a screen: highlight a field and use the key combination CTRL + M.
  • Select the CAMERA icon below the WINDOWS menu on the toolbar to have the tool 'memorize' the entire screen.
  • AA Version 5.12 and above can memorize defaults for "Ship to:" addresses.

How do I set defaults in ExpressWORKS?

What is my Pricing ID in ExpressWORKS?
AA is the default Pricing Program ID for any version of ExpressWORKS. It's used to identify the Pricing Program information that is set up in the software, such as Discounts, minimum floor charges, etc.

Before version 5.03, we had an option for printing invoices and making remittance reports in the DOS version. Are they available now?
Invoice reports are now available on my.yrc.com through ExpressWORKS. Click the INVOICES icon on the left side under the SHORTCUT BAR. You can customize remittance reports in the INVOICES and the REPORTS applications. Most of the options under the SHORTCUT BAR will take you to my.yrc.com. Only registered users can access my.yrc.com.

How do I enter a new address into my database?

  1. Point to SUPPORT DATABASES in the FILE menu, then click ADDRESS MAINTENANCE.
  2. Select NEW to add a new address. Enter the desired information. The ADDRESS ID is a unique identifier for this address only. It can be character or numeric in value, or a combination of both.
  3. Check the proper ADDRESS TYPE in the upper-right corner.
  4. Click SAVE to store the address in the permanent database.

How do I delete addresses?

  1. Point to SUPPORT DATABASES in the FILE menu, then click ADDRESS MAINTENANCE.
  2. Click LIST or SEARCH in the RECORD menu to find the address to delete.
  3. After the record displays on the screen, select DELETE to permanently remove the address.

How do I delete commodities?

  1. Point to SUPPORT DATABASES in the FILE menu, then click COMMODITIES MAINTENANCE.
  2. Click LIST or SEARCH in the RECORD menu to find the commodity to delete.
  3. After the record displays on the screen, select DELETE to permanently remove the commodity.

How do I delete bills of lading?

  1. Point to SUPPORT DATABASES in the FILE menu, then click BILL OF LADING MAINTENANCE.
  2. Click LIST or SEARCH in the RECORD menu to find the bill of lading record to delete.
  3. After the bill of lading displays on the screen, select DELETE to permanently remove the bill of lading.
