Two levels of protection
The YRC Shipment Protection Program includes two levels of service designed to protect your shipments that have the potential to freeze during transport.

Freezable Protection Program
This program utilizes special handling procedures, weather monitoring and indicators in the YRC tracking system to manage freezable shipments.

Insulated Cover Program
In addition to Freezable Protection, the Insulated Cover Program utilizes drum, pallet and tote covers to provide an extra level of protection for your freezable shipments.

Advantages
  • Many carriers do not offer freezable protection service when products freeze at temperatures above 32°F.
  • No other carrier maintains a 99 percent claim-free rate on cold-sensitive shipments.

How to Get Started
  • Contact your YRC account executive or service center to apply for the program.
  • Once approved, simply write "Protect from freezing at _____°”  on your bill of lading.
